Elopements require less planning than traditional weddings

Yep you guessed it!  Because you and your partner are the only ones eloping you have just eliminated your entire guest list.  No need to send out invitations for 50-100 people.  No more planning everyone’s meals, or paying extra for a selfie photo booth. You won’t even need to worry about where everyone will be staying, or the best time of the year to get married to ensure everyone is able to attend. No need to spend hours searching for the best venue and worry about the cost. The chances are that good old Nature will be your classic venue.  Nothing beats the beautiful and epic natural backdrops nature provides. You will be on your own schedule and won’t have to worry about any of those annoying time restrictions that come with paid venues.

Your wedding will be all about you

No need to worry about being nervous because everyone is staring at you, or wonder what they are thinking. You won’t have to stress about family and friends being happy and getting enough attention from you while you try to enjoy your special day.  I always see the bride and groom making rounds, checking that everyone is being taken care of at the reception. You and your partner will get to spend all of YOUR time focusing on each other and enjoying your special day.

Remember, you’ll have all those great photos to share with everyone later. Some Should you decide you want to hike to the top of a mountain with a scenic overlook and have a private ceremony, not wanting to worry whether others can make the journey, then you can do just that! Your photoshoot can take as long as you want, and you can be more creative since you’ll have more time! Do you know anyone who eloped? How did it go?

you can go almost anywhere in the world to elope

If you have always wanted to travel, well now you have an excuse to do it.  Maybe you really want to go to Italy this summer, or who knows even Alaska to visit the Glaciers.  There may even be some awesome location right in your own state that you’ve been dying to get to.  Most of the states have gorgeous national parks with some of the best views in the world. Think of all of the great destinations there are in the world and the beautiful scenery you’ll have as your venue, and in all of your photos too. The world will literally be your oyster.

Don’t get me wrong, I love weddings at venues with great architecture, but some of the most breathtaking and memorable weddings were private elopements inside of desert canyons, on top of mountains, and even in sand dunes. The possibilities are endless.

You can combine your wedding and your honeymoon

It’s a TWO-FOR-ONE deal! You get the best of both worlds all in one.  You could totally have your ceremony in the same place you want to take your honeymoon.  A little Island off the coast of Belize, somewhere in the Rocky Mountains, Machu Picchu, the Pink Coral Sand Dunes, or even New Orleans during Mardi Gras.  Heck, Las Vegas is even at the top of the list for some. The best part is you’ll have saved money on that expensive venue and the reception you would have had back home. In the long term, you’ll have saved tens of hours planning and loads of money! You’ll be spending your time and money on creating lasting memories rather than on things that are mostly one time use only. All of this while going on that much needed vacation you’ve been dreaming about for months and maybe even years. Don’t forget to get some souvenirs wherever you go! Where was your elopement/honeymoon?
